Vailla planifolia, commonly known as "Flat-leaved Vanilla" or "Vanilla Orchid", is a flowering vine that is the primary source for vanilla flavoring and also a great houseplant. Flowers are yellow green and last only a day and must be pollinated manually if you want to get it to fruit. Thick green ovate leaves grace the stem as it trails. Great hanging plant that is a conversation starter.
