The Sprout Home Pop-up back of horticultural charcoal.  It is an unprocessed form of carbon, is a great medium to have in your planting repertoire.  It is a great drainage medium, decay resistant, and helps retain moisture in soil.  It also makes for a great decorative matte black top covering. A necessity for lower light foliage terrariums.
